1. The FourMeter Mission (Why We Built FourTools)
Digital creators, visual designers, and software engineers generate millions of concept art renders and video prototypes every day using Google Gemini (Imagen 3, Nano Banana, Veo 3, and Google Flow). While these generative models produce stunning imagery, conspicuous watermarks clutter work intended for client presentations, portfolio reels, and UI mockups.
Until now, creators looking to clean their artwork were forced into a frustrating dilemma: either upload sensitive creative assets to obscure overseas cloud services with slow queues and aggressive recurring subscription fees, or deal with crude object-removal tools that smear pixels into a blurry, unrecognizable haze.
FourMeter created FourTools to solve this fundamentally. We believe high-performance machine learning should execute on the client device, free of paywalls, cloud surveillance, and quality degradation.
2. Deep Technical Breakdown: Mathematical Alpha Unblending vs. Blurry AI Smudging
The Flaw in Traditional "Generative Infill"
Most watermark removal tools use generative inpainting (such as LaMa or generic Stable Diffusion fill). These models attempt to guess what lies behind the watermark from scratch. In practice, this destroys delicate high-frequency details: facial features, typography, fine hair, foliage, and subtle gradients become visibly smudged.
The Mathematical Reality of Google Watermarks
Google does not overwrite background pixels with solid opaque colors. Instead, Google embeds the 4-point star watermark using a deterministic linear alpha blend:
Where α represents the spatial transparency mask of the watermark (typically ranging between 0.15 and 0.40 depending on resolution).
Because FourTools has calibrated the exact pixel-level opacity map (α) and geometric vectors of the Gemini logo catalog, we perform the exact algebraic inverse:
The result: 100% of the true, uncompressed background pixels underneath the watermark are mathematically recovered without guessing, smearing, or loss of detail.
3. Hardware-Accelerated Client-Side Engine
FourTools executes at native desktop speeds directly inside any modern web browser:
- Still Images (PNG, JPG, WebP): Processed in under 50 milliseconds via accelerated Canvas 2D and SIMD WebAssembly.
- Videos (MP4, MOV, WebM): Decoded and encoded frame-by-frame via hardware WebCodecs and WebGPU shaders, running neural residual cleanup on tricky frames.
- Bit-Perfect Audio Passthrough: Our audio demuxing engine extracts the original AAC/Opus audio track bit-for-bit via
mediabunny, preserving lossless multi-track sound without lossy recompression.
